The use of a Warehouse Storage System
For those who run a business, you have likely encountered the term Storage Space. It's essentially a virtual folder which allows you to group several disks. It's compatible with USB, SATA, SCSI, iSCSI, and SAS devices. A pool is a set consisting of physically mounted disks. In addition to the disks, a Storage Space can be created. It is visible as a logical drive in the operating system you are running.
It's not a new idea to save data in physical drives. However, it's not as straightforward as it seems. It is much more effective over other NAS systems which combine two drives to form one logical drive. However, it comes with its drawbacks. There is a risk of losing all data on one drive should it goes down. This means that Storage Spaces offers various options to enhance the resiliency of your storage system. One of them is duplicate data on all the drives within the pool. This reduces the amount of space available for data storage however it also provides additional security for your information.
Space for storage can be classified into two categories. There are two kinds of storage spaces. One is known as "general storage" and the other is "specialized area". It can be undergrade, attic or any other non-finished spaces. These areas are used as storage for products and equipment that aren't dangers in the natural environment. It also does not require special utility or HVAC systems. Besides, file rooms and supply rooms also fall into the same category.
